Music for November ♬

OK so this post basically what I've been currently listening to and maybe it'll help you guys discover more music. Lets start:

Touché Amoré - Is Survived By (2013)
I just recently started listening to Touché Amore and it's one of the best decisions I've made so far this year. I remember a friend of mine showed them to me in 9th grade and I was absolutely scared of them. I think it was just the vocals (and maybe my lack of maturity at the time) but this year when I rediscovered them, I started really understanding the lyrics and I connected with them. My favorite song off the album is Harbor. "Without you I'm not pure, without you I'm not clean but if I'm going down with you, then you're going down with me." Every time I hear Jeremy Bolm sing that lyric, I can just feel his angst and that's what I love most about this album.

Citizen - Youth (2013)
Youth is one of my favorite albums so far this year. I heard of them through some friends and I've loved their music since. They were also at my Warped Tour date but I couldn't see them because my friend wanted me to go with her to watch some other set and I regret it sooo much. I heard it was a really good show too. My favorite song off of the album is Speaking With a Ghost. "Overnight I fell apart, I used to wonder where you've been, or where you were." I'm also seeing them on November 27th with Polar Bear Club and I'm really excited!

Seahaven - Winter Forever (2011)
I saved the best for last: Winter Forever by Seahaven. I discovered them when I went to Transit's show on April 20th @ the Chain Reaction. That show was so amazing and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. After that show, I got hooked on them and they became one of my favorite bands. I downloaded all their albums but Winter Forever was the one that really got to me. I can't even pick a favorite song because I love them all so much but if I did it'd probably be Goodnight. "I've been waiting for the sun to dry up all this rain, but I'm caught out in the storm." I can go on and on about this band but I'll keep it short: listen to them, you will not regret it.

Item Review: American Apparel Thigh-High Socks

For my birthday, I received these lovely thigh-high socks from American Apparel. They are about $24 (including shipping + handling) if you decide to purchase it online. These are perfect for this season because they are just so warm and cozy. You could pair them up with some shorts or a mini skirt on a cold day. My only problem with them is that they are really long, especially for me since I'm 5'2. If you're about 5'6 and above then these would be ideal for you but if you're under that then you'd have to keep folding it down. I'd rate it at about an 8 out of 10. Other than that, I absolutely love these socks!

P R O S:
- soft cotton fabric
- good quality
- great for a cold day

C O N S:
- very long (26")
- really thick
- the cost ($18 + shipping & handling)

✿ Introduction ✿

Hey I'm Alexis Wagas, a 15 year old from Cerritos, California. I made this blog because I thought it would be a great way to express myself with the rest of the world. Fashion also plays a major role in my life and I honestly wouldn't know who I'd be without it. In addition to blogging about fashion, I'll also be writing movie reviews and many other things! So here's a little more about me:
  • My full name is Alexandria
  • My birthday is on October 7th
  • I really want to major in film or fashion
  • My favorite bands are: Joy Division, Panic! At The Disco, Loma Prieta, Seahaven, Title Fight, Joyce Manor, Pianos Become the Teeth, and City & Colour
  • I have terrible eyesight
  • I have a bunny named Luna
  • I love horror films (or basically anything morbid or macabre)
  • I love plants
  • I don't like being photographed
  • My favorite shows are: Friends, the Twilight Zone, American Horror Story
And yeah that's all I can think of right now, so thanks for viewing my blog and I look forward to the future. :)
